You could say a university is only as good as its library.
That’s why the Oliver C. Carmichael Library has been providing UM students with a home for informational advancement since 1968. In addition to being a source for infinite amounts of recorded knowledge and a cozy, quiet atmosphere for studying and working, Carmichael Library provides a number of extra assets like the J.A. Brown Jr. and Eleanor L. Brown Collaborative Learning Room, the Pat Scales Special Collections Room, the Digital Media Lab, and the Anna Crawford Milner Archives and Special Collections in order to promote the University’s mission of information literacy.
